Cooking is hot and now the Portland Restaurant scene is getting hotter! The Oregon Culinary Institute, a division of Pioneer Pacific College, is pleased to announce the opening of the fine-dining restaurant at their 1701 SW Jefferson St. location in downtown Portland. Beginning on September 27, 2006, OCI will offer a four-course prix fixe menu for lunch with a single seating at noon Monday through Thursday. To make reservations call 503-961-6200.

*Just added: We will begin serving a four-course, prix-fixe dinner on February 28, 2007. There will be one seating at 7pm Monday through Thursday.

All meals are prepared by Oregon Culinary Institute students with supervision from the vastly experienced OCI faculty. The prix fixe lunch will cost just $9.00 with non-alcoholic beverages available for $1.00 including free re-fills. Beer and wines by-the-glass are also available ranging from $2.00 to $8.00. Eric Stromquist, President of Oregon Culinary Institute said, "Oregon Culinary Institute strives to teach the philosophy and actively support local businesses and sustainable agriculture. For the restaurant class, we buy seasonal produce, fresh meats and artisan cheeses to offer a menu using the freshest ingredients we can find." Seating is limited so make your reservation early.
